Adjusting the Speed and Quality of a Video’s Playback

There are two ways to search within the Video Transcript: (1) using the Search Transcript field, and (2) clicking on a time stamp.

Using the Search Transcript field
  • Type the word or term you’d like to locate in the Search Transcript field.
  • The number of instances identified appears alongside the word or term. You can click through these using the up or down arrows.
  • The results will also appear highlighted throughout the transcript. When you click on the highlighted results, the video will start from that location.

Clicking on a Time Stamp

Features of the Full Transcript View

Our video platform also offers a full, synchronized transcript for most of our titles. As a video plays, the entire transcript is displayed below the video. This format is great for scanning, searching, and creating clips from the transcript.

Track: This feature highlights the words as they are spoken.

Navigate: The words in the transcript are clickable and allow you to move to that point in the video.

Search: Our transcripts are searchable by keyword. Type the word or term you’d like to locate in the Search Transcript field, and the results will appear highlighted throughout the transcript. When you click on the highlighted results, the video will start from that location.

  • To access and share videos in specific content area, begin by selecting a Learning Center or use the Search bar to enter a keyword to locate the videos.

  • You can also search using the Topics associated with a particular title.

  • The URL in the address can be shared to directly access the group of titles. You can share this with students and faculty who have access to your video library.

Identifying and Creating a Direct Link Using the Video ID Number

Identifying a Video ID Number

  • In the example below, note the location of the ID# column.

  • For example, the video ID number for Accelerated Treatment for Anxiety: Core Concepts is: 289.

Creating a Direct Link Using the Video ID Number

  • Using your unique video library URL, type in the video ID number at the end of the address. For example:
    https://www.psychotherapy.net/stream/university-of-shelley/video?vid=289

  • Each institution has a unique Institution ID that is part of the direct link URL. It will always be located after the “/stream/” in the URL. For example:
    https://www.psychotherapy.net/stream/university-of-shelley/video?vid=289
  • If your institution is using a proxy server, the URL may look different. However, you can still create the Direct Link using the Video ID# after “video?vid=” in the URL.
    For example:
    http://0-www.psychotherapy.net.ezproxy.xxx.edu/stream/InstitutionID/video?vid=289
